Finished my Star Wars Concept Droid. Below are the different maps used for the entire project. First are the color maps with the AO maps added as a multiply layer within photoshop. Further below are the actual AO maps and Normal Maps created within xNormals and Maya 2011, cleaned up a bit in Photoshop. Lastly are my environment texture maps. I used a fairly standard lighting setup and created an emissive map for my sky map. Also, I used a desert texture to create my environment floor and the normal map for that environment floor.
Here is my final render and an environment render for my Star Wars Concept Droid.

Star Wars Droid UV Maps
Finished all my UV's last night. Decided to post them up, as well. I have 6 different UV maps. Because the legs have a lot of detail I UV'd them to separate UV spaces so that I can make them unique rather than symmetrical in texture. I also placed the 3 pods and the main body piece on a different UV space so that I could add in more detail as well. Everything else went onto a separate UV space as well.

Hi-Res Renders
Posting a few high detail screens of my metal case. It's not as good as I would like it to be but after redoing the project twice I feel much better about the whole modeling/texturing process. Big thanks to my fellow classmates and my PROfessor.

Complete Model Rework
After a lot of frustration with normal mapping and baking AO's I decided to do a complete model rework. I created a new low and high poly model as well as creating new UV's, normal maps, colored texture map and an IN PROGRESS spec map. Edit: Uploaded a new AO map created using my Normal Maps within photoshop. Refined it within photoshop as well.

Completed Low Poly Model for a Metal Case
After completing the proxy model I started working on my low poly model. I added in some bezel's and additional details through the entire frame. The door and door latches were created and given additional detail. Next step, higher detail model.

Concept Art Reference Composition
Today I am showing a reference composition I did for a piece of concept art featuring a few different, unique cases. *NOTE, this is not my concept art, I am unaware of the artist but I claim no artistic rights to the concept art*. I chose to really focus on the upper left piece. I envision it as a beat up safety case for some scary, bio-weapon.
I worked in the Industrial Construction field for a while and the case reminded me of some of the components I used to work with. Much of my inspiration comes from the construction industry. I did enjoy doing this composition and hope to use these components in the future. Below are the compositions:
The color swatches I chose were also based off of a few of the references I chose. In specific, JLG Lull's (a heavy construction vehicle which is picture below), heavy duty generators, a bio-hazard sign and a nice gray metal with rust were used for specific color choices.
